近日，北京理工大学吴锋院士团队在铝离子电池正极材料研究中取得突破性的进展。该研究成果以“Electrochemically activated spinel manganese oxide for rechargeable aqueous aluminum battery”为题发表于《Nature Communications》。这一进展工作由团队中吴川教授领导的研究小组完成，并得到了中科院物理所和阿贡国家实验室研究人员的支持。

该工作首次将尖晶石-层状转化反应应用于水系三电子电池体系中，为铝离子电池电极材料及新型电解液的开发提供了新的路径，展现了过渡金属氧化物电极材料在构筑高能量铝离子电池体系方面的应用潜力，为实现高安全高性能的大型储能系统提供了新思路和新方法。
